Technical aspect

trannapctl

The most significant achievement of this period is that we have completed the development of trannapctl. With its assistance, automatic installation and automatic updates have become possible. Of course, it also supports the removal of trannap. In the future, we will continue to improve trannapctl to provide more management control functions for trannap.

QUIC

In addition, we re-built the transport layer using QUIC, which offers better stability and higher performance. Of course, this does not mean that we have abandoned TNP. The application layer still uses TNP, but the transport layer has switched from bare TCP to QUIC. At the same time, we have abstracted the transport layer, which means that we can support more transport layers besides QUIC, and we also have this plan to support the coexistence of multiple transport layer protocols, which is helpful for coping with various complex network environments.

Optimization

We have provided more comprehensive documents, fixed some connection drops and error issues, established many automated release processes, optimized the download page, and configured CDN acceleration for the website. As a result, everything has become much smoother.

In fact, we have completed a great deal of trivial development tasks. However, these tasks are so small that they are difficult to describe. But being small does not mean they are unimportant. All of these are valuable and meaningful.
